After that, there’s a whole lot of mish-mash and let’s see what happens with Pittsburgh, Toronto, Florida, Tampa Bay, Ottawa and New Jersey. - The Matthews contract, which will pay him more than any other NHL contract, almost seems like lunch money when compared to the deals just signed by quarterback Joe Burrow and defensive end Nick Bosa in the National Football League. Burrow will be paid $55 million a year by the Cincinnati Bengals. Bosa becomes the highest-paid defensive player in history, coming in at $34 million a year.
