Novosibirsk Region will stage the 2025 Fonbet All-Star Week

The Kontinental Hockey League announces the venue for next season’s stellar weekend.On Aug. 6, 2024, the KHL and Novosibirsk Regional government signed an agreement to stage the Fonbet All-Star Week in Novosibirsk. The events will take place at the Sibir Arena, opened in 2023 with a capacity of more than 10,000.The league looked a several candidate cities where new arenas had either already opened or were due to open early this season. In selecting a host region, the KHL assessed various factors. As well as the arenas, these including the city infrastructure, transportation logistics, availability of hotels for participants and guests, and also the relationship between the local authorities and the prospective host club.“It’s no secret which cities we were looking at as potential hosts for the Fonbet All-Star Week. We know how people in Novosibirsk love their team and love their hockey, the city is thirsty for a big festival of hockey. Like everyone, we were saddened when Novosibirsk missed its chance to host the World Junior Championships so now we are delighted to bring the best players of the KHL and JHL here. We’re grateful to the Novosibirsk regional government and particularly to the governor himself, Andrei Travnikov, for their interest and readiness to stage host this unique event with us.” KHL President Alexei MorozovNovosibirsk Region will be the seventh Russian region to host the KHL’s All-Star events. The JHL’s Challenge Cup will be played on Feb. 1, 2025. Then, on Feb. 8-9, the Sibir Arena will stage the KHL All-Star Game.
